CHELTENHAM — A suspect was arrested after an attempted robbery in the Target parking lot at 2450 Shoppers Lane around 9:35 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, police said, according to NBC10.
Police told NBC10 a woman was in the parking lot when a suspect approached her and demanded her cell phone. When she refused, the man punched her in the face and threatened to shoot her in the face, police said.
The suspect left empty-handed and was taken into custody a short time later during a traffic stop, police said.
The suspect was charged with robbery, simple assault, terroristic threats, and harassment, police said. Police have not released the suspect’s name. The person charged is presumed innocent.
The woman was shaken by the incident but was not seriously hurt, police said.
