PHILADELPHIA (PCU) — A Lafayette Hill man has been charged by federal indictment with cyberstalking a Whitpain Township government official, a police officer, and their families, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and reporting by KYW Newsradio and Patch.
Scott Testa, 60, of Lafayette Hill, is presumed innocent; the charges have not been proven in court. Prosecutors announced the indictment around Sept. 8.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, as reported by KYW and Patch, the indictment alleges that in April 2026 Testa posted on Reddit AI-altered images depicting a Whitpain Township official and a police officer — and, in connection with those posts, family members including minors — wearing KKK robes.
Prosecutors further allege that Testa posted the names of children, an address he believed to be a victim’s, and messages such as “we are watching you” and “we are coming,” KYW and Patch reported, citing federal authorities.
Testa was ordered detained pending trial after a federal court appearance Tuesday. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison, according to KYW.
