PHILADELPHIA (PCU) — A man accused in a Center City masked-man incident has been extradited back to Philadelphia and was arraigned Sunday night, according to CBS Philadelphia.
Zymire Hughes, 22, was extradited to Philadelphia and arraigned Sunday night (Sept. 6), CBS Philadelphia reported. He is presumed innocent; the charges against him have not been proven in court.
According to CBS Philadelphia, citing U.S. Marshals, Hughes was arrested Aug. 25 at an apartment complex in southeast Las Vegas and was held at the Clark County Detention Center.
He faces charges including aggravated assault, terroristic threats and related offenses, according to CBS Philadelphia. Those allegations have not been adjudicated.
Philadelphia police allege that on Aug. 12 near City Hall, a person in a Chucky-style mask chased and threatened at least half a dozen people. Investigators claim the suspect asked one woman if she was “ready to die,” CBS Philadelphia reported. Police say that after the threats, the person fled to Suburban Station and then traveled to Nevada.
Bail has been set at $100,000; Hughes has not posted bail, according to CBS Philadelphia. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 22.
