Teen Shot Dead Outside Dover Cava Restaurant; Police Seek Tips

Dover, Del., police say an 18-year-old was shot and killed Friday night on the sidewalk outside a CAVA restaurant on North DuPont Highway.

According to the City of Dover Police Department, officers responded about 9:47 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, to the 1000 block of North DuPont Highway, outside CAVA, and found Foster Trader, 18, of Dover, who had been shot multiple times. First responders performed life-saving efforts; Trader was pronounced at the scene about 10:04 p.m., police said.

Investigators recovered multiple spent shell casings at the scene. Police said they did not immediately have information on any suspects or a description of a vehicle that may have been used to flee.
