Northwest Detectives are seeking the public’s help identifying a suspect in an Aug. 31 armed commercial robbery at the Global Gas Station, 2200 Allegheny Ave., the Philadelphia Police Department said in a Sept. 4 news-blotter wanted notice.
According to PPD, at about 12:37 p.m. Aug. 31 an employee was robbed at gunpoint as he left to take the previous day’s deposit to the bank. Store video showed a newer black Hyundai Elantra with Pennsylvania temporary tag 4691-295 pull into the lot about 11:15 a.m. and wait roughly 90 minutes; after the robbery the suspect fled west on Allegheny Avenue, police said.
PPD described the wanted person as a Black male of medium build wearing a black hoodie and baseball hat. The person depicted has not been charged in court filings cited here and is presumed innocent.
