Philadelphia Police are searching for a male offender who is seen on video robbing and assaulting an elderly woman who was waiting for a SEPTA bus.
Police say the robbery occurred around 5:30am on February 5th on the 6900 block of Torresdale Avenue. The man pushed the woman to the ground before stealing the purse that was around her shoulders. He made off with the purse, cash, keys, phone, and her ID card.
The suspect is described by police as a black male between 30 and 40 years of age, standing 5 feet tall and about 210 pounds. He has a full beard and was last seen wearing a blue-green striped shirt, jeans, and boots.
Police are urging anyone who recognizes the man or has information on the crime to contact the Philadelphia Police.
