A man and a woman are charged with murder in a March 2025 Interstate 95 shooting that killed 21-year-old Aiden Zeallor, an innocent bystander driving near Port Richmond, according to court records and reporting by The Philadelphia Inquirer and NBC10 Philadelphia.
Alondra M. Lopez, 28, and Joseph G. Toledo-Gonzalez, 27, face murder, attempted murder, and related charges. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating. Court documents say both were prohibited from possessing firearms. Both were denied bail. Lopez is being held at the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center; Toledo-Gonzalez is at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility.
Zeallor, a Levittown native who had been staying with his grandmother in Northeast Philadelphia, was driving his Ford Mustang northbound on I-95 around 2:30 a.m. on March 29, 2025, when gunfire tore into a nearby Acura, investigators said. At least 50 rounds were fired in what police described as an attempted targeted killing of another person. Two stray bullets pierced Zeallor’s windshield, striking him in the right eye and under his right arm, the Inquirer reported. The Acura driver was shot in the leg and treated at a hospital.
Lopez and Toledo-Gonzalez were taken into custody Aug. 26, 2026, nearly 18 months after the shooting. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 14 in Municipal Court. Court filings offered few details about each defendant’s role or a motive.
Zeallor’s mother, Denise Donahue, told the Inquirer the arrests brought some sense of closure. “He was a loving boy that should still be here,” she said. “His life was stolen from him.” The family is also pushing “Aiden’s Law,” which would require surveillance cameras on certain Pennsylvania highways, and said Zeallor saved four lives through organ donation.
Lopez and Toledo-Gonzalez are presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Criminal charges are allegations.
