CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP — A Philadelphia man has been arrested in connection with a Sept. 14 gunpoint robbery at a Cheltenham Dollar General and is facing charges tied to a series of robberies in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties, police said, according to Patch.
Russell Mason-Watts, 32, of Philadelphia, was arrested Friday. Police said a firearm and evidence linking him to the robberies were recovered. Mason-Watts is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
The gunpoint robbery occurred at the Dollar General at 45 West Cheltenham Avenue. The victim reported that two suspects entered the business, as one displayed a silver handgun and demanded cash from the register, police said via Patch.
A second suspect remains wanted. Police describe that person as a Black man with a heavy build who was wearing a black surgical mask, a gray hoodie with black writing on the chest, black pants, and white shoes.
