A man and a woman were found shot inside a home on the 2300 block of North 18th Street in Stanton Saturday evening in what Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace described as a domestic murder-suicide, according to NBC10, FOX 29 and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Police say the shooting happened around 5:30–5:31 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. A 43-year-old man shot a 42-year-old woman in the head, then shot himself, police said. Both were pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital at 5:54 p.m.
Inspector D.F. Pace said police believe the pair were in a relationship and that the motive was domestic. A gun was found in the man’s hand. Pace said there are no other suspects and no immediate danger to neighbors.
Identities have not been publicly released.
