A 19-year-old was shot four times during a gunfight Friday night near Broad Street and Allegheny Avenue in North Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Police Department, as reported by NBC10.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 11, 2026, police said. Surveillance video showed the 19-year-old limping to a SEPTA platform before he was taken to a hospital by a private vehicle, where he was listed in stable condition, NBC10 reported, citing police.
Police say the 19-year-old was also one of the shooters. That account is an allegation; he is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Shell casings were visible on the sidewalk at the scene as police blocked off the area, according to NBC10. No arrests have been made, and detectives said they do not know a motive. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigations Group is investigating, NBC10 reported.
A pizza delivery Jeep incident nearby later Friday was initially thought possibly connected because of proximity, but investigators later determined the shooting and that incident were not related, according to NBC10.
