Liza Ridley Held For Trial In Vincent Good Suitcase Killing

Liza Ridley, 54, was held for trial Wednesday after a Philadelphia Common Pleas Court preliminary hearing in the killing of her longtime boyfriend, Vincent Good, 53, whose remains were found in a suitcase in Kensington in May, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

Prosecutors said Ridley admitted shooting Good and leaving his body in their Mayfair apartment for about two weeks or longer before moving his remains by Lyft in a suitcase and abandoning it in an alley near East Hilton Street, according to the Inquirer’s hearing account. Assistant District Attorney Cydney Pope presented surveillance and cellphone-related evidence tying Ridley to the rideshare trip, the Inquirer reported. Pope said Ridley accessed a Lyft account registered to her daughter, Liza Robinson, who lived with the couple.

After hearing the evidence, Judge Gregory O. Yorgey-Girdy held Ridley for trial on murder and nine additional charges, including abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, the Inquirer reported. Ridley’s sister, Bernadette Ridley, was also held for trial on charges including obstructing the administration of law, conspiracy, abuse of a corpse, and related counts, according to the same account. The judge dismissed conspiracy and tampering-with-evidence charges against Robinson and Robinson’s boyfriend, Gnaeus Daniels, saying prosecutors had not presented enough evidence, the Inquirer reported.

May charging coverage from the Inquirer, NBC10 Philadelphia, CBS Philadelphia, and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office said Good’s remains were discovered May 22, 2026, on the 600 block of East Hilton Street after a passerby reported a suitcase; prosecutors alleged Ridley, who had been paid as Good’s home health aide, shot him in their home on the 5700 block of Leonard Street and later used a Lyft to take the suitcase to Kensington.

Ridley, Bernadette Ridley, Robinson, and Daniels are presumed innocent. The charges are allegations that have not been proven in court.
