Ten people are facing charges following a months-long investigation into an alleged cocaine and marijuana trafficking organization operating throughout Montgomery County and surrounding areas.
The investigation began in March after authorities identified 52-year-old Sean Scott of Norristown as an alleged cocaine and marijuana distributor.
Investigators used controlled drug purchases, wiretaps, surveillance, GPS tracking and search warrants to identify members of the alleged organization.
Authorities say Steven Anthony and Sean Scott served as principal distributors, while Brandynne Gardner allegedly operated as a higher-level source, facilitator and organizer connecting customers with suppliers and arranging larger quantities of drugs.
Others allegedly assisted with acquiring, storing, packaging, transporting or redistributing the drugs.
Search warrants executed during July and August resulted in the seizure of the following:
- More than 250 pounds of marijuana
- 7.5 ounces of cocaine
- 12 firearms
- Approximately $110,000 in cash
Authorities say drugs were trafficked from residences and storage units throughout Montgomery County. Investigators also identified a location in Devon, Chester County, allegedly used to store, package and prepare bulk marijuana for distribution.
Charged are Sean Scott, Marvin Scott, Albert Ball, Craig Cole, Brandynne Gardner, Kevin Ringgold, Steven Anthony, Matthew McCarthy, Zakery Wilson and Andre Young.
Seven defendants have been arrested. Sean Scott was captured in Florida on Aug. 23 and is awaiting extradition.
Arrest warrants remain outstanding for Craig Cole, Kevin Ringgold and Andre Young.
Charges vary by defendant and include corrupt organizations, conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver controlled substances and related offenses.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
