Ellie Rushing of the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that 19 people connected to the Young Bag Chasers (YBC) and rival crews are expected to be charged in a sweeping indictment tied to a yearslong gang war in West Philadelphia.
At least five people were taken into custody early Wednesday as part of a joint investigation by Philadelphia Police and the District Attorney’s Office Gun Violence Task Force.
🔎 Investigators say the feud fueled nearly two dozen shootings between 2022 and 2024 — including at least five homicides.
- 35 total victims
- Victims ranged from 5 to 42 years old
- Shootings spanned multiple neighborhoods
Sources say several of those expected to be charged are already incarcerated on unrelated cases.
Authorities linked the violence to YBC and rival cliques, including CCK — groups that allegedly escalated retaliation through shootings and social media taunts.
This indictment follows a multi-year probe into dozens of unsolved shootings connected to the feud.
Names and specific charges have not yet been released.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
