There was a wild and lengthy car pursuit this evening today in West Philly. The Pennsylvania State Police initiated the pursuit with a male offender in a red SUV. The car refused to pull over for the state police and the offender entered into Philadelphia where the Philadelphia Police entered the pursuit in support.
The pursuit went all over West Philadelphia. The offender was seen on NBC 10 Chopper video driving recklessly through traffic and over local neighbors lawns. People can be seen running away from the car as is drove erratically through the city.
The driver eventually was boxed in and apprehended by police at the intersection of 52nd Street and Wyalusing Ave. Police have not released why they were chasing the vehicle or what prompted the pursuit.
