UPDATE: Woman Who Was Set Ablaze In Philadelphia Is Now In A Coma

The woman who was beaten and eventually set on fire in the Kensington section of Philadelphia is now reportedly in a medically induced coma at Temple University Hospital. Police have now officially announced the victims identity as Alyssa Morales, also known in Kensington as Bre. Morales is reported to have serious burns on 60% of her body after someone ignited her and left her to die on the street.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Friday on the 1800 block of East Tioga Street. “She sees the female that’s with them spray some kind of liquid towards the male and the female, and that liquid then is lit on fire,” said Chief Inspector Frank Vanore with the Philadelphia Police Department.

Alyssa’s mother also confirmed that her daughter has been struggling with a heroin addiction for 12 years and that Alyssa has been featured on Youtube by AML Films as “Bre”. Check out the video below
