Two Shootings Overnight In Northeast Philadelphia, At Least 1 Man Killed

There were two shootings overnight in Northeast Philadelphia that killed at least one man and critically injured 3 others. The first incident occurred in Frankford around 10pm at Arrott and Griscom Streets. Police say at least 4 men were involved in a massive shootout where as many as 70 shots were fired. Police say at least one shooter was using a semi-automatic rifle. 3 men were shot, one of those men were shot in the head and is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital. Investigators believe all 3 men will survive.

The second shooting incident occurred around 3am on the 1800 block of Fillmore Street. Police located a 27-year-old male who was shot in the head. Philadelphia Fire Department Medics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. No arrest and no suspect information.

  1. This is nowhere near Northeast Philadelphia. Northeast Philadelphia begins around Cottman & the Boulevard.
