Philadelphia has experienced yet another string of gruesome murders and assaults in the city of brotherly love as we see no end in sight to the everyday carnage. Just yesterday police were called to the 4200 block of Houghton Street around 1pm for a report of an assault. When police officers arrived they found a 96-year-old woman suffering from severe blunt force trauma to the head. Medics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Police tell us that the alleged murderer, the victims son, was still on location and was taken into custody.
Authorities this morning identified that man as 59-year-old Gary Johnston. According to court records, Gary Johnston was officially charged with murder and his bail has been denied. See below
At the time of this publication, PhillyPolice.com was reporting 297 murders. That number should now be at 300 with two early morning murders and this blunt force murder being officially charged. We’ll keep you updated.
