PHILADELPHIA: A war on our youth

The City of Philadelphia is failing our youth and it will impact the city for generations to come. With shootings skyrocketing throughout the city we have seen an extremely disturbing statistic—95 people under the age of 18 have been shot with 16 being fatal.

Just last week two teens were victims to a double shooting which claimed the life of a 14-year old boy. The shooting happened in a residential neighborhood about two blocks away from Sammuel Fels High School. Police said later Friday an unknown vehicle opened fire while driving by the teens.

If we cannot protect our children as a whole then we have ultimately collectively failed as a society. Accountability starts with parenting and climbs all the way to City Hall and Harrisburg.

As the city prepares for a deadly summer, stay tuned with all breaking crime happening within city limits.
