WANTED FOR MURDER: Jermaine Young Wanted For Murder Of 14-year-old

Today the Upper Darby Police Department in Delaware County, PA has announced that they have an active arrest warrant for 16-year-old Jermaine Young, of Upper Darby, for the shooting murder of a 14-year-old boy. Authorities say that on July 1st, Jermaine Young and 5-6 friends were in an Upper Darby basement making a rap video. An Affidavit of Probable Cause alleges that Jermaine Young was holding a firearm when the gun “suddenly went off”. The bullet struck the 14-year-old victim in the chest and Young fled the scene with the gun.

Upper Darby Police Officers responded and rendered aid to the victim but the boy was eventually pronounced dead at Penn Presbyterian Hospital. Witnesses have been cooperating with investigators and successfully picked Young out of a line-up as the shooter. Young is being charged with 3rd degree murder and will be tried as an adult in court.
