At Least 4 killed This Weekend in Philadelphia, Multiple Others In Critical Condition

At least 4 men have been killed by gunfire Saturday in Philadelphia and Police tell us multiple other victims survived but are listed in critical condition. A man was killed in the 19th police district around 11:14pm on the 1400 block of N 52nd Street in Carroll Park. Police say that a male victim in his 30’s was shot multiple times throughout his body. Philadelphia Fire Department Medics pronounced the male deceased at 11:21pm. Police say there was no arrest and no weapon recovered. No word on motive or suspects.

Prior to the above murder, a gunfight broke out in West Philadelphia on the 1000 block of North 39th Street around 9:30pm. Police say three people were involved in the shootout and an 18-year-old gunman was shot multiple times throughout the body. He was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital and is listed in extremely critical condition. Authorities also tell us that this 18-year-old was armed with a rifle and shooting back at 2 gunmen who were armed with semi-automatic handguns. Police found at least 35 spent shell casings.

Another shooting broke out Saturday night in Germantown on the 1100 block of East Stafford Street. Police say two men were critically shot after two gunmen approached the car they were exiting and opened fire. A 38-year-old man was shot in the chest and a 30-year-old man was shot in the armpit. Police found two firearms in the victims car following the shooting.
